RULES OF THE ALEHOUSE

Please read the rules. I am open to suggestions on some of them

  1. WHAT HAPPENS AT THE ALEHOUSE STAYS AT THE ALEHOUSE

  2. THERE WIL BE NO"CAMP WITHIN A CAMP" WITHIN THE ALEHOUSE. If you are camping with us you are a part of the Alehouse. There will be no separate camps within our walls nor any areas sectioned off for said groups. This rule is NON NEGOTIABLE!! If you do not like it you are welcome to camp somewhere else.

  3. No means No. Asking explicit permission is required before any act is performed. As a general rule, if someone doesn't have permission consider the answer to be NO.

  4. You must be at least 18 years old to enter, 21 to drink. No exceptions.

  5. Safer sex is the rule, not the exception. If you are unprepared, The alehouse is prepared: seek out any Alehouse resident for assistance.

  6. The alehouse safe word is "kumquat." When used, all play will stop immediately. The bottom will then decide how play will be resumed or if play will be terminated.. Other safe words may be established between partners, however "kumquat" will always be recognized. Failure to respect Safe Words is grounds for immediate ejection of the encampment. Alehouse residents CAN and WILL enter closed tents upon hearing the safeword more than once.

  7. If you are planning a scene that may *appear* to be non-consensual, you must pre-arrange a safe word AND notify a house resident of your activities in advance. If you forget your safe word, "kumquat" is the house safe word.

  8. If you have questions about Alehouse rules, ask any Alehouse Resident for clarification. If you purposefully ignore a rule, you will be enlightened. If such behavior continues, you will be asked to leave the camp.

  9. Respect people's space. Do not physically or vocally interfere with a scene already in progress without express prior permission. Interrupting to ask to join counts as interfering, and is also rude. This extends to the aftercare phase of play. Be respectful. It is not necessary or welcome to criticize people's appearance or play. This is a mature emotional environment. If someone chooses not to interact with you, accept their response and move on to other opportunities.

  10. Clean up after yourself, so that everyone may enjoy their evening.

  11. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs may by asked to leave. This is for the safety of the group...and will be enforced...

  12. Cameras and recording equipment will not be used without the express consent of all parties involved.

  13. The Spanking Monitor has the authority to control all activity in the house. If you see any unsafe activity, or if the House Rules are not being followed, please notify the Spanking Monitor (SM) or Staff. If in doubt, ask the SM.

  14. If you borrow an implement, you are expected to return it directly to that person. (And, of course, to gain their permission prior to taking it.)

  15. If this is your first Pennsic, no matter how much of a veteran of SCA events you are you WILL be escorted at all times by another Alehouse member or known Pennsic Veteran. This is extended with one caveat, LADIES You will be escorted at all times, END OF STATEMENT. Pennsic is a large event and in recent years there have been several incidents to mandate this. It is not open for discussion.
